Does Knops need batteries to be used?
No. The Knops hearing solution is a fully analog and acoustic device and doesn’t need batteries. So you can use it all the time without worrying about dying batteries.

This version of Knops will not support playing music. But we do have plans to develop a version that supports playing music.

What is the range of the volume control?
The Knops hearing solution is designed to reduce volume by up to 10dB, 20dB and 30dB (decibel levels are indicative, the final product decibel levels may differ slightly from these indications).

Yes. You can control the volume independently with the volume button on each ear.

Yes. Because of the volume button, you can instantly control your volume. So you can open up the volume and talk.

We have done a lot of testing to ensure quality of fit across a wide range of ear sizes, so we are confident the Knops will fit almost everybody.

Would it be possible to to use Knops for shooting/at the firing range?
Yes, you can use the Knops at the firing range. Just make sure you put them in step 4 before shooting so you have maximum protection.

I have tinnitus. Will Knops help me?
The Knops hearing solution is designed to reduce volume across the frequency range. Which helps prevent development of tinnitus and hearing loss. That being said, it is not designed to help with existing tinnitus other than preventing further development of tinnitus.

Won’t the plugs fall out of my ears?
No, Knops are ergonomically designed to stay snug inside your ears. With the help of the plug, the shape of the base and the little zeppelin shape at the back of the base the knops will stay inside your ears no mather how much you jump or how fast you turn your head.

They weigh less then 10 grams per piece, so around 20 grams per pair.

Does Knops use Noise canceling technology?
No cancelation with electronics, instead we use natural acoustic resonances to tune and acoustic friction to dampen sound waves. Knops does provide similar results to noise canceling technology, as it allows you to lower the volume in multiple steps. The last step is great for isolation.

How does Knops changes the volume of your surrounding?
Knops uses multiple tuned acoustic filters. The filters use natural acoustic resonances to tune and acoustic friction to dampen. This means that real world sound is filtered, the same quality is being kept and the volume is reduced depending on the volume level you use at that moment.

I am sensitive to noise and / or loud sounds. Will Knops help me?
Yes, Knops can help you a lot. Knops allow you to turn down the volume of your environment in multiple steps to your liking. This way, Knops can remove noise and lower the volume of loud sounds.

Can you sleep wearing Knops
We actually didn’t developed Knops for sleeping specifically. That said, we don’t see a problem wearing them while sleeping on your back. We didn’t tested Knops for sleeping on your side, so we cannot comment on how comfortable they will be if you are sleeping on your side.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
