One Step Closer to Your Pair of Knops

Hi backers,

As promised some news about the production of Knops. We’re happy to say that the molds are ordered. With these molds, your pair of Knops will be produced. Take a look at the pictures below to get an idea of the machines that we use to produce your product.

Regarding the timeline we shared during the campaign, you can see that we planned to order the molds in July. However, don’t worry, we’re still on schedule due to the pre engineering that we did before ordering the mold. This means that the engineering part after the molds arrive takes less time.

New Prototypes of Knops Have Arrived

Hi Backers!

We have some news to share with you about the new prototypes!

In our previous update on June 13th, we informed you about finalizing the engineering of Knops. In the photos below you can see the new prototypes, based on the improvements we made on the engineering part. The ergonomics of the housing have been updated and has now a more slim body, ensuring that the comfort is increased and the fit is nice, snug and slim. The parting lines in the final product will not be as visible as in this new prototype. The prototype has a black cone and the body is white, we did this to separate the actual product from the prototypes.

In the center of the photo, you see the new prototypes.  

You can see that the body is slim in comparison to the previous prototype.

On the left, you see the old prototype and on the right the new one (slim body).

The ring of the new prototype (right) is thinner than the old one (left).

Somewhere within the next two weeks, we will have a new update about the production of Knops!

We found a production partner and we participate in the Accenture Innovation Awards!

Hi Backers,

Thank you all for your patience. We have a couple of busy months behind us.

We really made progress regarding production for Knops. We're happy to announce that we found a production partner in AMSTERDAM! Our headquarters is in Amsterdam so this is awesome. This way we're able to easily communicate with our partner. Besides that, and not less important, we can do quality control frequently to provide you a high-quality product.

The whole process of choosing a production partner is a tough one. There are a lot of things that you have to think of. For example, the country of production, costs of production, insurance of quality by the partner and of course the planning.

We had the luxury to choose from several options and chose the one that best suited our needs in order to deliver a high-quality product in time.

Our production partner started with their production planning this week! So we will keep you posted about the progress.

We are finalizing the production engineering and setting our own webshop!

Hi backers,

It’s been a little while since you last heard from us. At the moment we are very busy with finalizing engineering and with preparing production.

First of all, we can tell you that the ergonomics of the housing have been updated. It will have a slightly more slim body, ensuring that the comfort is increased and the fit is nice, snug and slim.

Besides that, we’re currently in the final phase of production engineering. We will give another update about this very soon.

Not only are we busy with engineering and production. We’re also busy with setting up our own webshop and planning towards the product launch around November.

We’re really excited about everything that’s going on and are still very thankful for your support that makes all of this reality.

We’ll soon give another update about news and insights around Knops. Stay tuned!

Knops finished with almost 3000 backers and over 800% funding!

We are absolutely amazed by the amount of support we got from everyone! We always believed in Knops. Seeing so many people share the same beliefs by supporting us is beyond our wildest dreams. We want to thank you all for making Knops become a reality!

As we still get so much feedback from people all over the world, who also want to use Knops, we decided to give everyone still the possibility to pre-order Knops. Therefore we launched Knops for pre-order on Indiegogo InDemand. By doing this we also want to keep on creating awareness for the rising problems of hearing damage and noise-related stress.

In the comments, we noticed some questions regarding the backer survey in which you can fill in your preferred color for Knops. We will send out the backer survey next week.

Last but not least, we'll provide all of you with continuous updates during the following months.
